Submissions

You are welcome to submit an abstract for presentation at the Exis conference. Contributions may take the form of paper, poster, or panel. Abstracts and presentations should be in English and 300 words in length. We recommend that the abstracts follow the structure with introduction, method, results/analysis, and discussion. In addition, the abstracts can address certain challenges within a research field or method based on a clear aim or research question.

Paper Submissions
A paper presentation should be limited to 20 minutes, including a few minutes for discussion. Papers with similar topics will be grouped into panels by the organizers.

Poster Submissions
A poster presentation is an alternative to presenting a full research paper. Please indicate if you prefer this form of presentation. A poster is an opportunity to display information about completed or ongoing research. Young researchers in particular are invited to share work-in-progress by means of a poster. Posters will be displayed through the duration of the conference, but also a designated session will be scheduled in which participants can meet with authors to discuss their work.

Panel Submissions
A panel is a coordinated set of papers (usually 3 or 4 in number), all dealing with a particular topic or issue. A panel includes a chairperson and up to 4 presentations, which may include a discussant (optional). The chair is responsible for submitting a panel summary (max. 300 words) and collect the abstracts of all the individual presentations (max. 300 words), which have to be submitted together with the panel abstract.
